Especially good in shady areas where few other plants will bloom Non-stop blooms, sweet smelling, and extremely weather tolerant. Sowing; Sow January to March. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed compost. Do not cover. Place inside a propagator or cover tray with polythene or glass in a warm place and keep at a temperature of around 24-27°C (75-80°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged. Germination will usually take 15-60 days.
Growing; As soon as a few seedlings emerge remove cover but spray regularly to keep moist. When seedlings are large enough to handle prick off into trays 5cm (2") apart. Gradually harden off in late April/ early May to plant outside 20cm (8") apart when all risk of frost has passed.
