This seed is suitable for gateway repairs and as an over seed to muddy gateways & paddocks, a fast-establishing mixture which provides a thicker grass cover. Use on poached areas along fences and in gateways, this mixture can also be used to improve pasture and increase diversity to the sward.

You can sow grass seed by hand by simply scattering it, or by using a handheld spreader, but  for sowing a new lawn, your ideal sowing rate will be at 50g per m2. For overseeding an existing lawn, we recommend sowing at 35g per m2.

Dig the soil over to a depth of 20-25cm, then remove weeds by hand or use a weed killer before adding top soil if you believe the soil to be poor quality. Level the seedbed off via raking the area, then for a new area, sow at the recommended rate of 50g per m2.

As many seeds, they need soil contact to grow, once they’re down rake the seed in so it gets that much needed contact. Once in the soil, firm down by foot to give it that extra bit of a push for germination.

It will be advisable to keep your animals off it while it is establishing, and if you’re simply overseeding an area, stick to just 35g per metre2
