Valerianella locusta, a hardy annual which can grow up to 15cm in height, is a small plant that is eaten as a leaf vegetable. It has a characteristic nutty flavour, dark green colour, and soft texture, and is popularly served as salad greens. Common names include lamb's lettuce, corn salad, common cornsalad, mâche, fetticus, feldsalat, nut lettuce, field salad.

    We happily accept returns within 14 days from date of delivery. All returns must be received in the same condition and packaging we sent them. Postage charges will not be refunded on unwanted products.

    You are solely responsible for ensuring the goods are returned to us. We will not be liable for returns that are lost in the post or lost for any other reason. If a product arrives damaged we will advise the customer how to return the item with all return costs covered by us.  Replacements & refunds will be dispatched / issued on receipt of the returned items only.

     
    Sow directly between August to November onto well prepared soil. Alternatively sow in rows 13mm deep and 15cm apart. Cover seed with 3mm of fine soil.
     
    Ideal spacing 15cm, thin as required. Germination takes 1-2 weeks. Offer protection from birds and slug attack if desired. Leave in the ground over winter and harvest as needed.
