Running down from the Tagetes genus, down in to the erecta species, in to the family Compositae/Asteraceae we have this half hardy annual known as African Marigold or as simply, Marigold. Suitable for Summer bedding, cut flowers, baskets & containers the Crackerjack Mixed variety is known for it’s yellow and orange colours which come a long after it’s preferred growing conditions, which are in full sun.
Pretty Wild Seeds are registered with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) under number 7529, so you can have confidence in both our products and advice. We happily accept returns within 14 days from date of delivery. All returns must be received in the same condition and packaging we sent them. Postage charges will not be refunded on unwanted products.
You are solely responsible for ensuring the goods are returned to us. We will not be liable for returns that are lost in the post or lost for any other reason. If a product arrives damaged we will advise the customer how to return the item with all return costs covered by us. Replacements & refunds will be dispatched / issued on receipt of the returned items only.
Germination; Sow indoors. Surface sow onto seed compost which is moist but well-drained. Only just cover with soil. Propagate at 21-24°C or put in a warm place. Light is required for germination. Germination takes 5-14 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed. Space at 20-25cm. Can be sown directly from May with 25cm spacing, keep moist until germinated.
Growing; Easy to grow in any well-drained garden soil in full sun. Do not feed.
Cultivation; Cut flowers regularly to encourage growth and to prolong flowering window or deadhead.
