Due to its size it is best grown under glass in the UK allowing it a longer period to fully ripen.  Due to its size it will need slightly greater spacing between plants.

Sowing; Sow in early spring 1/16 inch deep, germination takes around 6-14 days at 18-24C.

Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into 3” pots, then grow on under cooler conditions and when about 8 inches tall, position in the greenhouse and plant out 24-36 inches apart.

Remember to provide support and tie in regularly.  Remove side shoots and restrict the plant to one main stem, in late summer remove the growing tip to hasten ripening.
